We are looking to recruit both a permanent and a temporary Maintenance Technician, working across our sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester, with a sense of social purpose to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults throughout the County of Gloucestershire.

We are looking to recruit to 2 roles – a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, and a temporary role, initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension (between 30 and 37.5 hours a week).

Salary is between £25,501 and £31,100 per annum (based on working 37.5 hours), dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications. 

ABOUT YOU

We are inviting applications for the role of Maintenance Technician, working across our sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester. 

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance role and an ability to carry out a variety of tasks, from decorating, to changing taps, to some landscaping.   No two days are ever the same.  Ideally, you will also have plumbing and carpentry skills and knowledge, and experience of completing void property works.

You will have the ability to maintain good working relationships, across a range of staff levels, both internally and externally and be an excellent and engaged team member, who has a can-do attitude and a ‘hands on’ approach.

You will have a Level 3 in a relevant qualification or a desire to achieve this.

As this role is working across several sites, a full driving licence is essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician is part of a busy team, often working to a number of different tight deadlines.  It is an opportunity for a highly motivated person to support the Property and Maintenance team to ensure the Charity’s buildings, physical spaces, equipment, vehicles and other property owned or managed by the organisation are maintained to a high quality.

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Property and Maintenance team to ensure that all day-to-day repairs and void rooms are completed in line with KPI’s, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations in all areas relating to the physical work environment.

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Property and Maintenance team to ensure regulatory and legal compliance in all matters relating to the Charity’s buildings, physical spaces, equipment, vehicles and other property owned or managed by the organisation.
