Paul James

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On Friday 2nd March 2018, I will once again be spending the night sleeping under the stars in a cardboard box to raise awareness of rough sleeping, and to raise money to support the work of YMCA Cheltenham in helping the homeless and ensuring that everyone has a safe place to stay.

Rough sleeping is on the increase across the country, and affluent areas like Cheltenham are not immune to the effects of homelessness.

YMCA Cheltenham provides more than 50,000 bed nights per year across a full range of accommodation in Cheltenham and Gloucester, from high support accommodation through to affordable accommodation for young people and those on low incomes.

By sponsoring me to sleep in the cold, damp, maybe wet and freezing, car park of the YMCA Sports Centre, with only my cardboard box for protection, you will be helping YMCA Cheltenham to ensure that no-one needs to sleep on the streets, sofa-surf or stay in unsafe and unsuitable accommodation.

I have been involved with the YMCA as their honorary treasurer for a number of years, and I have witnessed first hand the amazing life-changing, and often life-saving work, that they do. Please help me to help them to continue that work.

One night can make a lifetime of difference.

Thank you for your support.

Paul James
