On Saturday, 11th November, a record number of YMCA Cheltenham supporters gathered together to take part in our latest quiz night. Over 60 people attended, ably led as ever by YMCA board member, former chairman and part time Quiz Master, Peter Worsley. There was lots of fun, laughter, trivia and also hot debate as to who was the green train from Thomas the Tank Engine!

After a fun packed night, which included a fish and chip supper supplied by Lakeside Takeaway, the hard fought battle of the brains was won by 'The North, South & One From the Middle', who pipped 'Colin's Crusaders' by just two points.

The wooden spoon was won by long time YMCA supporters Tony and Ann Curry.

Record amount raised

As well as a record number of attendees at the quiz there was also a record amount raised, through entries and donations, going towards the YMCA Cheltenham Winter Appeals which are looking to fund a new minibus for the work we do with our residents and also the purchase of 10 new cookers for our new affordable housing project which will hopefully open in April 2018 in west Cheltenham.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and participants we raised over £400 on the night - a fantastic effort.

Rob and the team wish to thank everyone who supported the event and look forward to seeing you for the next quiz in February!
